Artist's Statement

The textile works of Amanda Richardson have earned accolades from clients worldwide. These finely composed textile wall hangings, are created using custom dyed fabrics, finely cut into varying sizes, placed onto a backing sheet of fabric, and then fused into place. These stunning textiles, infused with varying degrees of textured cloth, create an artwork that delights the eyes and soul.

The subject matter of her current work is inspired by Amanda's Cornwall, UK home with its beautiful flowers and rocky cliffs and her recent travel to San Juan Islands, Crete and Kazakhstan.
