Statement from the Artist about the Paintings

"My paintings are intended to evoke the hand-painted, timeworn walls of a grand old Parisian mansion.

Living with my family in the lower Puget Sound in the 105-year-old historic Gazzam House, built of Bainbridge beach rock. Its history and dark Craftsman style have influenced my love of layered narrative paintings filled with pattern, worn colorful surfaces, and the love of generations past."

Each piece resembles an aged decorative fresco panel adorned with birds and flowers, vines and leaves in a modern Chinoiserie style"
