kathryn trigg is a well known master of the monotype. her works range in style from richly saturated color fields to the whimsical imagery with as many as twenty five layers of ink printings that builds the surface up to the desired effect. her most recent works are on stretched canvas using layers of monoprinted rice paper then embellishing the surface with acrylic paints. these textural pieces have the same strong simplicity, design and color sensibilities that kathryn infuses in all her works either on paper or canvas. an amazing body of new works have been created for this solo exhibition.
