waterworks gallery was founded in 1985 with the concept of showcasing artists based in the San Juan Islands and the Pacific Northwest including Washington, Oregon, Idaho and British Columbia. The Northwest experience is reflected in the work of the gallery painters and sculptors who live and work in this region

Artists and their visions are always evolving and changing reflecting the changing times we live in. Media and styles do not stay still. It is exciting to envision waterworks artists and how they will change over time.

These artists celebrate, each in their own medium, the independent spirit of their works…the way Anne Belov paints a kitchen with such radiance, the manner that Tom Small carves stone or the way that Art Hansen re-creates the landscape he dearly loves. These artists reinterpret their world on an ongoing basis, each deftly adding their unique signature.

Embedded in each work is the passion of the artist. That passion is transmitted to you, the collector through waterworks gallery and is the reason I continue to be a gallery owner. My hope is that you will continue to enhance your life with the passion and beauty of art.
